    Extra Credit MDC Museum Visit

In my experience attending the museum I went with my mother and it was her first time going to a museum. I enjoyed seeing all the creative art works, even those I didn't fully understand. I also enjoyed seeing my mothers face amazed at everything because it was her first time. Work that caught my attention was the "One thousand and one Possible Nights, 2008" collage on paper. I found it so complex yet simple and beautiful. My favorite work was the "Rain Rains". The materials used were Aluminum buckets, water, steel cable, & dimensions variable. The title of the work was significant because it portrayed what he was trying to show in his work, rain. Drips of water would fall from the bucket hanging in the air, to the bucket on the floor. The materials were also significant since it helped potray the ilusion of rain dripping slowly. Another thing I loved were the ribbons that were stuck in holes in the walls that had wish petitions. I found it so thoughtful and cute, and it seemed to have captured everyones attention since I saw everyone walk out with a couple of ribbons.
