I am excited to say that this was my very first time at Art Basel and I have never seen anything like it. There was a flood of people from all over, an abundance of traffic, and alot of interesting art work. I attended Art Miami, Art Asia, Red Dot Gallery, and Wynwood again. My favorite gallery was Art Miami, it was a very deep and extended gallery and it had a comibination of sculptures and paintings. My favorite two pieces from this gallery was a Warhol inspired Marilyn Monroe that was pop art. It consisted of repition, as it had her face multiple times. It used a combination of both warm and cool colors, and it was very eclectic. My second favorite painting was in Art Miami as well and it was the picture of an eye. The eye was at center of the painting so it was located in it's focal point, and it was all gray. I liked it because it was very captivating and made you want to look at it over and over again. The crowds that attended this event were very ecclectic. Their was people from all over, but I predominantly noticed alot of rich upper class people. The Red Dot gallery was also pretty cool. My favorite works included a work that resembeled Fungi in black and warm colors. I posted a photagraph of it. I noticed their was alot of abstract work in this gallery. Something I truly enjoyed about these galleries were how deep they were, they didn't appear to be so big so it was nice to be exposed to vast collections of art works. Lastly I returned to Wynwood one last time and got to go in the graffiti bus which I didnt not have the chance to enter too before, and also enjoyed being exposed to graffiti art work, which is my favorite.
